LongWait Farm was established in 1986, boarding, selling horses and ponies.
It all started at the age of 3 when my older brother wanted to be a cowboy and it was almost just as cheap for 2 kids to ride as 1 so I got drug to the lessons and ever since that first ride it's been nothing but horses.
I will be returning to the rodeo circuit as it's in my blood, I love the excitement of a good horse race. My Boyfriend mike is a PRCA steer wrestler and is really giving them a run for their money. in 2009 He qualified for the 2010 First Frontier Circuit Finals in saddle bronc and in 2010 He qualified for the 2011 finals but this time in steer wrestling.
Were going to keep at it till we get it right !!!
This would not be possible if not for my mother Linda Harker who was taken from us in 2004 in an auto accident.
I started out doing local hunter and 4-H shows then found out how much fun it was to go to game shows where I found my true passion of barrel racing. After a few years competing at G.H.A.N.J and winning the challenge trophy in barrels on my trusty steed Roy Bird. I decided to buy my WPRA rodeo permit which I quickly filled and bought a rodeo card. Roy Bird and I picked up a few checks here and there. I quite for several years to work on the family farm and start a family of my own. My son Grant has the same love for animals as I do.
